![]() It drives down the road very well not withstanding what look like original bias ply tires. Sports Roadster Thunderbirds had a unique red, white, and blue emblem on the front fenders. The chrome is incredibly preserved as is the under carriage. The power options all work, and even the mufflers say Ford on them. The frame numbers match the data plate, and are easily seen. Some prep sanding can be seen under florescent lights. There are no dings, dents or any noticeable scratches. The Ford Thunderbird debuted in 1955 as Fords entry into the two seat. Brakes, Power-Lift Windows, 4-Way Power Drivers Seat, AM Push Button Radio, and White Pwr. Fitted to this car a 390 cubic inch 300 HP. unrestored example still wearing its original Rangoon Red paint over a beautiful black interior. The paint looks excellent but not perfect, certainly better than driver quality. The exterior is finished in Red with a Red interior and bucket seats. Used 1962 Ford Thunderbird Red for sale - only 59995. The car looks to have had a repaint at some point, but not the door jams or under the hood. The markings on the car look original as you can see in the pictures, even one under the glove box that you'd have to search for. There is no evidence anywhere that I can find that this car was ever painted Coral Sand, and I've looked hard-even under the sill plates, trunk, gas filler tube, under carriage. 1962 saw strong production figures of 78,011 (including 9,884 convertibles) and the introduction of the Thunderbird. Kennedy's inaugural parade, probably helped along by the appointment of Ford executive Robert McNamara as Secretary of Defense. I can't imagine anyone going to this kind of trouble to change the color to white, but it happens. The odometer and the title say it is a low mileage vehicle.
